Leech Therapy

Experienced therapists have been carrying out leech therapy at the Moha Institute for years. Our leeches, which we obtain exclusively from controlled rearing in a natural habitat, successfully help with non-healing wounds, pain caused by arthrosis, circulatory disorders as a result of transplantations, diseases of the ear (such as inflammation and tinnitus), the vessels (e.g. varicose veins, “spider veins”) and the musculoskeletal system, as well as accompanying hypertension.

The treatment, which lasts an average of 60-90 minutes, usually runs smoothly thanks to pain-reducing substances that the leech releases during the sucking process, and the desired effect can last for several weeks or even months after the therapy. It goes without saying that each leech is only used for ONE treatment on ONE patient, in accordance with legal regulations. That is why every patient who opts for this age-old, traditional therapy can have it carried out by us without any health concerns.

ATTENTION: We are obliged to point out that leech therapy is contraindicated for patients suffering from hemophilia (hemophilia) or taking blood-thinning drugs (Macamur, Aspirin).
